Some of you may have already heard, but our daughter, Jaelyn Antoinette Gibson was born on March 26!
Yes, she is a dollop of sugar. But she hasn't left me much time for blogging, or chickens or anything but changing diapers, feeding, bathing, cooing, playing, napping (you get the picture)...Plus she has special needs, so add PT and OT appointments, cardiologist appointments, Early Intervention testing...AND we've had a parade of visitors - DH and I didn't have a day to ourselves for the first month.
But things are beginning to settle down, and we're getting into a bit of a rhythm. Breastfeeding is going pretty well (for a baby with Down Syndrome that is a GREAT thing), and she's in the 90th percentile for length and head size, and the 80th percentile for weight.
Yesterday we ventured out - to a new local farmers market! And this morning I went back out to the garden to pull out the winter veggies (yes, long overdue) and to bring the girls a treat (spent broccoli and parsley plants). They've pretty much been in my husband's care since my 4th or 5th month of pregnancy, so they were a little tentative, but they came around when the treats came out.
OK - little lady wants to be fed.
When I get a new camera I'll start posting more pictures of our summer outings/gardening/chicken adventures.

Amelia.
I want to publicly let you know that I have been really inspired by you. These comments are long over due. Jerrold became one of my best friends while in college. I knew the nature of our friendship would change when he married. I am glad he chose you.
It gives me personal hope when I see two adults in marriage so close. I know that Jaelyn will feel the warmth and love of not only her immediate family, but of the extended one as well.
May the God of heaven richly bless you and your family. Again, congratulations on the baby girl.
Your sister in Christ.
Wakeelah
Thank you Wakeelah. That really means alot to me.
