And then there were two

We had a surprise in the nest box today - two eggs! One green and one brown, so we're thinking that one of the Easter Eggers (either Patsy or Eddie) is laying. My money is on Patsy - i went to rub her back, and she did the little chicken stoop.

Now if we could only figure out who did it. Its about twice the size of a quarter...we found it yesterday sitting on the bare wood in the nest box (someone had kicked all the hay out and laid the egg there). No egg this morning, but we're hoping for more soon.


I've been hiding under a book, or I should say, a pile of books. I'll try to be a more faithful blogger. But the girls are all right. We may be moving soon to a newer, bigger house about 10 minutes away (a bit closer to the gulf). More space for gardening, more space for chickens to roam, and more bathrooms (Yay for a second bathroom)!
